I just pulled back the cover on our compost pile and there were two short tailed voles peeking up at me and a ... SLOW WORM!!!!
I can't believe it!! SOoooOOooo excited. I'm going to try and get a photie of it, doubt it'll be as good as my friends pic below, but I'm going to try anyway!!

What a handsome little fella. That's a really good picture, because they actually aren't that slow when they get going! Shame the voles didn't hang around though :)

Wow! This is the second picture of a slow worm I've seen in as many days. That's good news, from my POV.
